Welcome to Be.Bendigo - as we embark on a transition for all Bendigo business, be a part of a self-determining community.

Members of once Bendigo Business Council and the broader community gathered on Thursday morning to celebrate the organisation’s transition to Business Excellence Bendigo – Be.Bendigo.

Chief Executive Officer Leah Sertori said Be.Bendigo was a contemporary, progressive and inclusive brand that would enable the organisation to keep growing.

Be.Bendigo’s digital offer allows members to create a customised profile, actively promoting business to business services in the city.

Ms Sertori said, Be.Bendigo Platinum Partner RAAK developed the comprehensive new website. One that actively facilitates trade between members. Additionally, with a directory that allows members to generate content for their own page and introduce special offers for fellow members.

“We are reaching out to individuals, businesses and organisations with an interest in business excellence and inviting them in.”

Be.Bendigo will continue to provide the services offered by Bendigo Business Council including networking events, advocacy and the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards. However, the organisations signalled an appetite to initiate game changing projects for the city, to benefit business. “Members will enjoy opportunities to contribute to very exciting projects such as Smarter Bendigo” Ms Sertori explained. The new look website will also host feature articles written by local business owners and leaders, published weekly.

“Our members want to tap into each other’s expertise and networks to grow their businesses. Our renewed brand and website better meets that expectation and opens the network to individuals and community sector organisations.”

Ms Sertori said the transition reflected a need for regional communities to actively determine their own future. Be.Bendigo is a community for people and organisations who want to shape the future business conditions for our city. It is more vital than ever that a vision is set for business in Bendigo and we create the conditions to attract investment and skilled workers. We have tremendous opportunity, as Bendigo’s population doubles in the next thirty years, to support our local businesses in growing the prosperity of our city and in turn, ensuring that prosperity is shared, Ms Sertori said.

Be.Bendigo is about actively growing together and ensuring that we do so in an inclusive, progressive and vibrant way.
