QANTAS ADDS MORE FLIGHTS TO BENDIGO
Bendigo, 23 April 2021: QantasLink has today added more flights for Bendigo, doubling the number of flights per week to Sydney in response to strong demand.
From 24 May 2021, frequencies between Bendigo and Sydney will increase from daily to double daily, offering more than 500 additional seats on the route each week. Flights will be operated by a combination of Qantas’ 50-seat Q300 and 36-seat Q200 turboprop aircraft.
The additional flights will see frequencies reach their highest levels since the route first launched in April 2019.
QantasLink CEO John Gissing said the additional flights were an example of the national carrier growing its network to meet demand and supporting regional Victoria.
“We’ve seen very strong demand for our Bendigo flights since domestic border restrictions started to ease late last year,” said Mr Gissing.
“It’s fantastic to see the local community has really supported this route and we’re pleased to be able to respond by adding more flights to give them more choice about when they travel.
“The additional flights not only mean we’ll be offering Bendigo travellers more seats than we did prior to COVID, but also more than we’ve offered on the ever route before.”
Qantas’ “Fly Flexible” policy offers customers who book flights before 31 July 2021 added flexibility with unlimited fee free date changes when travelling before 28 February 2022.
