Bendigo’s vibrant food scene has welcomed a sophisticated new addition with the recent opening of Le Foyer Brasserie, a French-inspired eatery located at 25 Queen Street.
Opened in early June by hospitality veterans Paul Pitcher and Michael van Haandel, Le Foyer Brasserie offers a refined, yet welcoming dining experience centred around authentic French cuisine, fine wines, and warm hospitality.
Le Foyer is a French term that translates to “The Hearth” or “The Home” in English. It symbolises warmth, gathering, and a welcoming space, perfect for a restaurant that aims to create a cozy and inviting dining experience. The name evokes feelings of comfort, hospitality, and community, making it a great choice for our regional Victoria restaurant.
At Le Foyer Brasserie, our mission is to create an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the best of regional Victoria, where warmth, flavour, and community come together in a welcoming, vibrant setting.
We are passionate about crafting honest, seasonal, and locally inspired cuisine, sourcing the finest ingredients from local farmers, artisans, and producers. Every dish we create is a tribute to our region’s rich agricultural heritage, served with creativity, care, and a deep respect for the land.
Our commitment extends beyond the plate. We exist to nurture connections between food and people, between guests and their surroundings, and between tradition and innovation. Whether it’s an intimate dinner, a celebration with friends, or a quiet moment with a glass of wine, we aim to make every visit to Le Foyer Brasserie feel like coming home.
With hospitality at our core, we strive to provide not just a meal, but a memorable experience, where every guest feels valued, every bite tells a story, and every interaction embodies our passion for great food, genuine service, and a sense of belonging.
