Last week, we welcomed manufacturers and businesses from across the region to Bendigo for our AI in Manufacturing event.

Despite the torrential rain, we had a fantastic turnout, with attendees travelling from as far as Melbourne and Echuca to hear from industry leaders and technology experts about what AI could mean for the future of manufacturing.

Held at the La Trobe Arts Institute, the event brought together experts from La Trobe University, Innovation Central Melbourne, Bosch and Ligantic to share practical examples of how AI is being used in manufacturing and where the technology is heading.

Throughout the day, attendees explored real-world applications of AI, digital transformation, security and risk, responsible AI adoption and agentic AI. The sessions gave businesses a clearer understanding of the opportunities AI presents, as well as the considerations that come with adopting new technology.

A key focus of the day was making AI practical and relevant for manufacturers. Whether businesses were beginning to explore AI or already considering how it could support their operations, there was plenty of opportunity to hear from experts, ask questions and learn from examples across industry.

The event also created a valuable opportunity for manufacturers and industry partners to connect, share experiences and continue conversations about the role technology could play in the future of manufacturing across our region.
