There were plenty of laughs, a bit of curiosity and lots of conversation as Be.Bendigo members stepped into Virtual Reality at our August After 5.

Hosted with nbn at Bendigo Tech School, the evening formed part of the nbn Virtual Reality Roadshow, with Bendigo one of just 21 communities across Australia selected to take part.

Guests heard from the nbn team about connectivity across our region and the role it plays in helping local businesses access and make the most of new technology.

Then it was time to experience some of that technology firsthand.

Members put on the VR headsets and worked their way through an interactive workplace training experience. For some, it was their first time using VR, while for others it was a chance to see the technology in a completely different setting.

It sparked plenty of conversation around the room about how VR could be used for training and learning and what technology like this could mean for businesses across different industries.

Of course, there was still plenty of time to catch up over a drink, meet new people and connect with others from across Bendigo’s business community.

It was a fun and different After 5 and a great opportunity to try something many of us wouldn’t usually get the chance to experience.
