The past few days have been devastating for many communities across regional Victoria.
Closer to home, areas around Harcourt and the wider Mount Alexander region have been deeply impacted by the fires. Families have been forced to evacuate, properties have been threatened or lost, and daily life has been disrupted in ways that are difficult to put into words.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected.
We want to acknowledge and sincerely thank the Country Fire Authority (CFA), local fire brigades and the many volunteers who have worked tirelessly on the front line.
Their commitment, courage and long hours have played a critical role in protecting lives, homes and communities. We are deeply grateful for their efforts and the personal sacrifices they continue to make.
