November After 5 Event Recap: A Celebration of Whitby’s New Chapter

Last week, Be.Bendigo hosted its november After 5 networking event at Whitby, marking an exciting milestone for this beloved lakeside venue. Once known as The Boardwalk, Whitby has undergone a remarkable transformation into a premier dining and event destination, renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, exceptional food, and unparalleled views of Lake Weeroona.

The evening was perfect—a warm spring night with attendees enjoying Whitby’s beautifully designed deck while engaging in meaningful networking and conversations. Guests were treated to a delightful spread of food and drinks that showcased Whitby’s culinary expertise, setting the tone for an evening of connection and celebration.

A highlight of the event was hearing from Andy, Whitby’s owner, who shared his inspiring story. Over the last 13 years, Andy and his team have evolved The Boardwalk into Whitby, a venue that continues to be a cornerstone of the Bendigo community. His passion for innovation and dedication to creating memorable experiences were evident as he walked attendees through Whitby’s journey and vision for the future.

This event underscored the importance of community and collaboration, providing a space for businesses to connect, share ideas, and celebrate local success stories. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening, and to Whitby for being a wonderful host and sharing their incredible story.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to close the year with our final After 5 event of 2024, happening on December 4 at Bendigo Airport. Don’t miss this opportunity to network and celebrate the end of another successful year.
