Our recent After 5 event at Red Energy Arena brought members together for an evening of connection, conversation and a closer look at one of our city’s most successful sporting stories.

In partnership with the Bendigo Spirit – Bendigo’s only national-level sporting team and current WNBL Champions – guests heard about the rise of women’s sport and basketball’s role in leading the way here in Australia and around the world. With Olympians Marianna Tolo and Isobel Borlase and club legend Kelsey Griffin on court, the Spirit continue to deliver a world-class product and a game-night experience that brings the community together.

After networking on the mezzanine, supported by catering from Red Energy Arena, attendees stayed on to watch the Spirit take on Geelong Venom in the annual Indigenous Round. This year’s jersey, designed by Dja Dja Wurrung artist Melissa Taylor, added a meaningful cultural connection to an already memorable night.
