This year’s Women Connect International Women’s Day event featured a thoughtful conversation with Grace Tame, exploring advocacy, justice reform and the role communities play in creating safer futures for children.
Throughout the discussion, Grace spoke about the reality of pursuing systemic change. Reform, she explained, is rarely quick or straightforward, noting that “change is never a linear process” and that one of the most important ingredients in meaningful change is community.
The conversation also reflected on the broader responsibility communities hold in protecting children and shaping the future. Grace reminded the us that the wellbeing of young people must remain a central focus, sharing a simple but powerful message: “If you take care of children, you are taking care of the future. Children are the future — end of story.”
Women Connect events are designed to create space for thoughtful discussion across our business and professional community. This year’s International Women’s Day event continued that tradition, encouraging reflection on how individuals, organisations and communities can contribute to safer and more supportive environments.
