Girls in STEM Club Partnership Launch a Huge Success!

We are thrilled to share the exciting news about our member, The Discovery Science and Technology Centre, and their recent launch event for the Girls in STEM Club. Held last month, the event marked the beginning of a fantastic partnership aimed at empowering the next generation of women in STEM fields.

Thanks to this partnership, the Girls in STEM Club, an after-school initiative designed to inspire and educate young girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, is now free for all participants. The launch event was nothing short of a success, with a great turnout that included industry leaders, parents, and an enthusiastic group of students eager to dive into their first project of the evening—electronics!

The event also welcomed several notable guests, including Lisa Chesters MP, Cr Andrea Metcalf, and Marg O’Rourke, who showed their support for this incredible initiative.

The evening was filled with inspiring conversations, hands-on activities, and a palpable sense of excitement for the future of women in STEM.

A special thank you goes out to McClure Civil Management for their generous support in ensuring the program remains accessible to all.

Congratulations to Alissa and her dedicated team at The Discovery Science and Technology Centre for their hard work in running these amazing programs. We look forward to seeing the incredible impact the Girls in STEM Club will have on our community and the future of STEM!
