Balgownie Estate: A Legacy of Fine Wines
Founded in 1969 just outside of Bendigo, approximately two hours northwest of Melbourne, Balgownie Estate has made its mark in the wine industry. Renowned winemaker Stuart Anderson planted Shiraz, Cabernet, and Chardonnay in the favourable Central Victoria climate, establishing a remarkable reputation for the quality of the wines produced. Noteworthy are the Estate Shiraz and Estate Cabernet, celebrated for their depth of flavour, richness, and remarkable aging potential.
Through our partnerships with retail and restaurant collaborators, we continue to honour Balgownie’s legacy and award-winning wines in the Bendigo and goldfields region. Balgownie remains committed to producing and sourcing fruit from the Bendigo area, with our warehouse still located on the original Balgownie Estate.
