Impact Recovery delivers Central Victoria’s only long-term community and social reintegration program with accommodation, offering a safe, structured environment where individuals can rebuild their lives free from addiction and social exclusion.

Through our services we seek to support people who are at risk through homelessness, substance abuse, mental health issues and other life controlling addictions, connecting individuals back into society.

Impact Recovery employs a Therapeutic Community Model, emphasising “community as method.” This social reintegration model is based on a self-help approach and is informed by evidence supporting community as the primary influencer of positive personal growth. Participants actively engage in the program and provide support to fellow participants within this community environment.

Guided by our vision of ‘Freedom from Addiction’, our organisation supports each person’s journey toward recovery, healing and meaningful community participation. Our model, recognised globally for its effectiveness, creates a peer‑supported, abstinence‑based pathway that empowers participants to achieve lasting change.

We believe that it takes an entire community to bring about solutions to the problems of homelessness, alcohol and other drug use, mental health and domestic violence. It is with this spirit of collaborative unity that we work alongside and with other health, education and training, professional and community services to achieve this aim.
