The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion is a not-for-profit organisation and major tourist attraction based in Bendigo, Central Victoria. It is the largest Buddhist Stupa outside Asia and final home to the largest gem quality Jade Buddha in the world.
Tours are run daily inside the most sacred building in Buddhism, immersing visitors in Tibetan culture, architecture, art and interfaith harmony. It rises from the distinctive bushland of Bendigo, at an impressive height of almost 50 meters. It is based on the Great Stupa of Gyantse in Tibet and is being built to last 1000 years.
