Recently, Be.Bendigo released the 2023/24 Annual Report including the financial year statements, which is now available on our website.
As mentioned at last week’s AGM, Be.Bendigo is not immune to the challenges that many small businesses or NFPs face, due largely to the impacts of rising business costs and shrinking funding avenues.
2023/24 has been spent resetting the Be.Bendigo business so we can remain sustainable in the future, regardless of whether government-funded programs are accessible.
We feel we are in a stronger position due to:
- a marked improvement in the 2024/25 financial year-to-date performance, at a time when we have a growing Be.Bendigo member base of more than 400
- record levels of engagement across all Be.Bendigo events, programs and the Business Excellence Awards
- a more sustainable operating model that no longer relies on government-funded programs (noting we will continue to source these opportunities where a local business need is identified)
- securing our major partners with new multi-year agreements, including our Business Excellence Awards major sponsor and venue hosts.
Finally, I want to thank all of our fantastic Members, Partners and other stakeholders as you are each important contributors in helping us provide the best possible support and services for this great business community.
Be.Bendigo is hoping to make other exciting announcements in the coming months, so stay tuned for further updates.
Regards,
Rob.
