Record Attendance at the 2025 State of the Economic Market Breakfast

Be.Bendigo kicked off the year with our biggest-ever State of the Economic Market Breakfast, welcoming 175 business professionals, industry leaders, and community members for an in-depth look at the economic trends and forecasts for 2025.

Held at The Conservatory at All Seasons, the event featured David Robertson, Chief Economist and Head of Economic and Markets Research at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, marking his 15th consecutive year presenting this highly anticipated update.

Key Takeaways from David’s Presentation

David shared exclusive insights into the key economic factors expected to impact businesses in 2025, including:
National and global market trends
Interest rate forecasts
Inflation and cost-of-living pressures
Regional economic opportunities

A Morning of Connection & Insight

The breakfast wasn’t just about learning—it was also a valuable opportunity for networking. Attendees had the chance to connect with fellow business leaders, discuss key challenges, and exchange ideas on how to adapt to the evolving economic landscape.

This event also marked the first official event for our new CEO, Hayley Tibbett. Hayley shared her enthusiasm for supporting and collaborating with Bendigo’s business community in the years ahead.

We also extend our thanks to Lachlan Edwards, Director on the Be.Bendigo Board and Business Lawyer at OFRM Lawyers, for facilitating the engaging Q&A session, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the insights David presented.

A special thank you to:
